October 21st

So I guess you may have had a weekend of storms. Our weather report said that first a hurricane, then tropical storm was heading to Manzanillo and Colima. Are you okay? We went to Makapuu in the morning and had a great swim/surf. Dad had band practice in Kailua and then we all went to The Shack for dinner and to watch the very end of the baseball championships. The Red Sox beat the Indians and will now play the Colorado Rockies in the World Series that starts on Wednesday. Been thinking about you and hoping that your tent is not under 9" of water. WE MISS YOU!!

yes im fine, im back in Tecoman now, tired. the storm, when we last heard about it, was actually headed directly to Tecoman, not Manzanillo, then it looked like it might go west, then Oliver got worried it would swing back to camp, so we protected all our stuff and fled from THE WRATH OF KIKI!! we volunteers spent one night in Colima, one in a fancy Waikiki-ish Manzanillo hotel, and Dave and I just spent sunday night in the house of some really cool Mexican friends we made. we kind of met them and got to know them all day long, and then arranged to drive around then stay in one of their houses (realllly nice). but the lack of sleep has accumulated and im glad to return to camp. i dont know if my tent has been blown away, but we didnt get a drop of rain all weekend where we were. not sure if i will make a blog entry today, maybe next time im at the internet. but i might try calling in a bit if can.
